I was born and raised in Sun Valley, Idaho. I started playing tennis when I was about 12 years old and fell in love with the sport immidiatly. In high school I won two state championships in doubles and helped lead our school to our first team state title in 4A. After high school I spent 3 semesters at Boise State, before transferring to Ferris State (in Michigan) so I could pursue a 4 year degree in professional tennis management. While there I was a member of the varsity tennis team which won 3 conference championships, made the elite 8 twice and reached the final 4 once. The specialized tennis degree allowed me to study my passion as well as work all over the country. I have now spent time coaching tennis in Idaho, Michigan, Texas, California, Florida, and Tennessee. Currently I am in Florida, but traveling frequently to study the best coaches and clubs around the country. My most recent long term position was as a teaching professional at the USTA Nationals Campus in Orlando Florida, the largest tennis facility in the world.
