Heather Smith grew up in the town of Oregon Illinois dancing, tumbling, swimming and running. In 2006 she was nominated for Dance America’s “Dancer of the Year” and accepted into the University of Illinois Champaign/Urbana’s BFA program as a dance major. During her four years there her passion for the health and wellness of the human body grew while studying the benefits of the Alexander Technique, Strength Training, Pilates and Yoga. After graduation she received her 200 Hr Yoga Teacher Training from the Sivananda Yoga Ashram Camp in Val Morin Quebec. After living the "starving artist" lifestyle in NYC for a year she finally snagged a dream gig as the Choreographer at Beaches Turks and Caicos. She fell in love with the island life and after completing her contract spent several months in the Bahamas teaching at the Sivananda Retreat Center and the One&Only Resort on Paradise Island. She has since relocated to the state of Washington where she is a Personal Trainer (NASM), Professional Dancer, Dance instructor, Reiki and Sound Healing Practitioner (Shamanic Reiki Worldwide), Yoga (Sivananda 500hr) and Pilates instructor (BASI), as well as teaching Group Exercise classes. Heather believes in the power of positivity and hopes that whether you meet her for a relaxing gentle yoga session or a killer boot camp class that you leave feeling deeply empowered!
