  • Preparation of individualized training plans for gymnasts on the Canadian National Team
  • Choreography of routines for gymnasts ranging from pre-competitive to senior national level, with the appropriate technical and artistic values
  • Selection of music for competitive gymnasts
  • Training all national level gymnasts of the club; three novice, four junior and two senior level gymnasts
  • Holding talent identification sessions
  • Traveling to competitions either as a judge or a coach
  • Holding regular information sessions to parents
  • Overseeing and organizing of the operation of the recreational and performing classes, including scheduling of practices and competitions; selection, training and evaluation of coaches
  • Liaison with external organizations and experts such as Rhythmic Gymnastics Canada, Rhythmic Gymnastics Alberta
  • Brevet judge since 1989, currently at Brevet 3

         Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Visiting member clubs within the Province of Alberta, helping with choreographies and providing training for coaches and judges
  • Preparation of evaluation methods for beginner and provincial level judges
  • Represented the Province of Alberta at three Canada Winter Games

  • One of my gymnasts was a member of the Canadian group at the Group World Championships, New-Orleans, USA

Three of my senior gymnasts were members of the Canadian National Team

2001   One of my junior gymnasts participated in the individual competition at the Four Continent Championships, Curitiba, Brazil

         Coaching Recognition Award from the Province of Alberta

  • One of my junior gymnasts participated in the individual competition at Pan-American Junior Championships winning a bronze medal in the all-around team competition, St. Felipe, Venezuela

 

  • One of my gymnasts, the first Albertan ever, represented Canada at the Individual World Championships, Berlin, Germany Gold medal at Junior Group National Championships

Represented Canada as a judge at the Four Continent Championships, Sidney, Australia

  • Three of my senior and two junior gymnasts were selected for the Canadian National Team
  • Coach of the Year in Canada
