I have always been involved in health and wellness. I received my Master in Social Work from New York University in 1994. I worked primarily with older adults and their families. While working with this age group, I became very interested in the way touch can make big changes in affect and mood. I received a massage license in NYC in 1996. At that time I also became very committed to my own yoga practice to limit stress, as well as keeping my body fit for work.
In 2005, after years of being a student, I was inspired to take the leap and become a teacher. I have been teaching ever since. I belive my experience in the field of mental health and bodywork, only enhance my ability to connect with others, create a safe class for all levels.
I am a 500 hour trained instructor. I teach Hot Yoga, Vinyasa/Power, Yoga Sculpt (with weights), and yin/restorative styles.
