Verdun Edgtton

Verdun Edgtton is avid golfer who has been playing the greatest game since he was knee-high to a grasshopper. Originally from New Zealand, he now makes his home in New York, taking every opportunity he can to swing the club. He started out on the course at his father's side, moving into becoming a caddie on the same course he grew up on, and then eventually playing golf around the world. 

Verdun began teaching golf decades ago, and it all grew out of his love of the game. Often a single out of the course, he was constantly matched up with randomly selected golfers-- all varying levels and abilities. Inevitably, more times than not, by the end of the round one of his fellow golfers would be inquiring about his swing, technique or how he drove the ball so accurately. Verdun would happily give a few quick tips, and this eventually developed into him deciding to teach professionally. 

Verdun particularly has a love for teaching children. He is the father of two, and both of his children have been swinging the club since they were able to stand. His teaching style is precise and logical, pulling from some of the greatest golfers in history. But beyond techniques and swing types, Verdun believes golf can instill skills to be taken beyond the greens. He believes the greatest lessons in golf come from the patience, discipline and integrity the game demands of us, and the standards it holds us to-- both and off the course.
