Fitness, health, and wellness is a continually changing and evolving process that is different and unique for every individual. As the circumstances of our lives change, we must continually seek out the right fitness balance for our ever-changing body, schedule, and demands on life. As a group fitness instructor and personal trainer it is my goal to help you create a fitness and wellness plan that evolves with you- through all of the challenges you may face. I will help you learn how to find your core and center, to build strength around it, and to live your life from your center both physically, emotionally, and mentally. I will coach you through a plan that fits your body and your schedule. Sustainability is key when it comes to fitness and we will create a sustainable fitness program that is right for you.
My goal as a Group Fitness Instructor is to create a community. A place where we all come together- from all different walks of life to create an accepting, welcoming, and encouraging environment for all. We all come from different walks of life, have different injuries, and have overcome different challenges. But, when we walk through the door of the group fitness room we are all in it together. We motivate and lift each other up as we all strive to be healthier, stronger, and more beautiful from the inside out. I will crank the music up, and guide you through your workout. I will show you how to align your body and move your body correctly. Your only job in my class is to listen- not to me, but to yourself. I am just your guide and I give you full permission to do something different than what I say. I give you permission to do what is exactly right for you and your body.
If I could remind you of one thing throughout class it would be… “Do not be discouraged by your limitations, instead be encouraged by how far you have come.” The most rewarding part of teaching and training for me is when I look around the room and see such a diverse group of class goers. We have class goers who have had babies, who have had knee replacements, survived breast cancer, overcome personal trauma… we have Moms who were up all night, we have people who put their yoga pants on inside out because they were in such a rush to get to class, but we are all here. We are in it together. No matter your age, no matter your fitness level, no matter your limitations… you are a part of our community. Welcome to class.
