Diana Williams

A self-described aerialist, Diana discovered yoga in 2010 when she sustained a rotator cuff injury during pole practice while performing an elbow Ayesha grip straddle legs move on the pole. After hitting a recovery plateau within physical therapy, Diana added yoga to her regimen and experienced its restorative and healing effects firsthand. She soon became an active practitioner and a believer in its benefits as both a stand-alone sport and cross-training necessity. She furthered her commitment to yoga by pursuing her yoga teacher assistant certification; her 200 hour E-RYT certification; Aircat Aerial Yoga level 1 & 2 training; Children’s Yoga Teacher Training through Radiant Child; and Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training (RPYT). Her yogic influences stem from Baron Baptiste for Vinyasa; Deepak Chopra for hatha; Michelle Fondin and Ladan Judge for prenatal yoga; Aircat for Aerial Yoga; Shakta Kaur Khalsa for children’s yoga and Kundalini; Suzee & Paul Grilley, Sarah Powers, and Yael Flusburg for yin yoga; and Virginia Lung & Shaun Trujillo for acro-yoga.

Diana leads 200 hour yoga and aerial yoga teacher trainings in the suburbs of Washington, DC, USA.  She also holds an Advanced Pilates Mat certification from Power Pilates and has completed her barre training with The Booty Barre.

Diana has been teaching fitness classes since 2010 and holds a Masters of Teaching from the University of Virginia. In addition to teaching full time, Diana is a pole dance fitness competitor, having won the title of Ms. Echo in the Ms. Georgia Pole 2012 competition. She is also active in the aerial arts of pole fitness, flying trapeze, lyra, and aerial silks.

Diana believes in fun and powerful classes that focus the mind, calm the spirit, and develop the body.
