- Melanie Roy
My name is Melanie. I started playing tennis when I was about 5 years old. At age 14-15 I was ranked in the top 10 best players in Canada and top 4 in Quebec. At age 17, I accepted a tennis scholarship at Northwood University in West Palm Beach Florida where I spent 4 years playing tennis and studying International Business.
In 2005-2006 I worked at Evert Tennis Academy as a tennis coach in Boca Raton, Florida where I taught tennis to many good American players.
From 2006-2008 I taught tennis at Sani Sport Brossard in Quebec where I taught all kind of different players such as adults, kids teenagers a competitive youth.
For the past 15 years, I have been working for the federal government in Ottawa, Canada.
I still teach tennis part time at the Rideau tennis club in Ottawa and teach private lessons in the summer time to adults and youth.
I am a very active person, I love travelling, working out, and living an healthy life style.
In 2024, I started playing pickleball and teaching private lessons and group lessons. In the past few years pickleball became a very popular sport and I found that I enjoy it as much as tennis.
I have been playing and teaching at the Rideau tennis club for the past year.
Cheers and hope to see you there in the sun!
