Kerstyn Pocklington

Kerstyn is a certified Pilates instructor through Balanced Body and is passionate about helping individuals live the most productive and healthy lifestyle possible. Her goal is to help each client she works with to reach their full potential through effective coaching and positive encouragement. She is excited to be bringing her love, passion and excitement for the Reformer workout to Pilates in East and Pilates in Ada.

Kerstyn discovered Pilates in 2008 after graduating from college and living in Newport Beach, California. As a collegiate athlete, she was in search of a workout that combined the strength training and the physical challenge of a collegiate workout. Prior to taking a class, she was under the impression that Pilates was only for dancers or those with a dance background. After her first class of shaking and sweating, she was hooked and realized this was a workout that had something to offer for everyone. She noticed a physical difference within a few classes as well as a mental shift. There was something about the combination of slowing down and the mind body connection that was effective and refreshing. It wasn’t just about sculpting a better body, but more about appreciating the intricacies of movement and what the body is capable of doing.

Combined with triathlon training, beach volleyball, surfing and additional cardio workouts, Kerstyn found Pilates to be the perfect compliment to her workout regime. Using the Reformer, she found that she could not only get the challenging workout she was used to with weight training, but that the focus on the core was beneficial to all of her other physical activities. Now as a mom, she loves that she has a workout that is efficient, effective and fun (and her 4 kids love test driving the Reformer).
