Eric went to his first yoga class only to appear more interesting to a guy he had recently started dating.  Little did he know the unbelievable impact this decision would make on the his life.  Having spent most of his life battling with general anxiety disorder, Eric finds yoga practice an excellent means of finding balance and calm within his tempestuous mind, as well as a great physical workout.  As a yoga teacher, he balances the strenuous with the serene, to allow students of all shapes and sizes to feel welcome and appreciated in their own practices.  Plus he’s quite skilled at making corny yoga jokes during class.

Professionally Eric is a college professor in theatre at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.  An accomplished costume designer, he has designed costumes for many theaters across the country, and locally at Everyman Theatre, REP Stage, Imagination Stage and Adventure Theatre.  A specialist in Theatre for Young Audiences (and a certified Harry Potter fanatic), he best loves creating worlds of high imagination for young people of all ages.

Eric trained in Power Yoga through CorePower Yoga, where he also currently teaches.  His current area of interest is how yoga philosophy and practice has a positive effect on classroom-based teaching.
