I have had a love of health and fitness since my early teens, when I started teaching aerobics to my friends. I became certified as a personal trainer a little over 20 years ago. Since then, I’ve branched out to coaching runners and teaching yoga as well.
I have completed more than two dozen marathons and numerous races at other distances. I’ve been lucky enough to run in the the Boston Marathon six years in a row. I’ve volunteered with First Strides, a beginning run/walk program for women, and Girls on the Run. I also lead a running group twice a week.
I found my love of running when I started competing in triathlons at the age of 40. I quickly realized that yoga is the perfect complement to long distance running–it helps me stay flexible, but it also helps to strengthen my body and mind. My love of these two activities led me to become certified as a running coach and as a yoga instructor in the past few years.
I get a lot of joy from helping others achieve their fitness goals—and even more importantly from helping them find a new confidence and inner strength.
