Hi, my name is Helene, and I live in Cincinnati, Ohio. I grew up in Pennsylvania and attended Penn State University.
When I'm not leading classes, you'll find me running my 3 sons (14,14, and 9) to their never ending practices and activities! I enjoy watching them play sports (football, lacrosse, basketball, and track), reading, going to concerts, and attending yoga workshops and festivals. I spend a lot of time listening to music and putting together playlists for my classes. I love music and feel that it's such a key element for a great workout session!
My journey to becoming an instructor began when my youngest son started preschool in 2015. I wanted to try something different and add to my fitness routine of walking and yoga, so I tried Spin at my local Y. I was hooked, I loved the comaradarie and positive energy that you share with the group. From there I tried just about every other group ex class there was and became a daily regular. One of my instructors encouraged me to get my indoor cycling certification and start teaching. I did just that and soon after I was teaching 5 classes per week. Over the next year I added ACE Group Exercise Instructor, Les Mills Bodypump, Silver Sneakers, Yoga Fit, and POP Pilates to my certifications, and was up to 12 classes per week. In 2017 I spent 6 intense months immersing myself in yoga and yoga philosophy, and earned my 200 hour yoga teacher certification. I received my E-RYT 200 (experienced teacher designation) in March 2020 after completing 1,000 hours of teaching and an additional 30 hours of training.
