My name is Joe White and I am a 27-year veteran in the Health & Fitness Industry. My primary athletic pursuit was as a Decathlete in the sport of Track & Field, whereby I was a member of 2 National Championship Teams during my tenure at the University Of Windsor (1992 & 1993) hile I was studying Human Kinetics. I was also a member of various National Teams in the Decathlon, and participated in 2 Olympic Trials (1992 & 1996). After retiring from the Decathlon in 1998 I began studying Karate, and earned my Black Belt in the Art Of Chikashryu (a Traditional Okinawan Martial Arts System). I recently took-up the sport of hockey at the age of 37 and am currently fulfilling my lifelong childhood dream of being a goaltender.
My journey in the Health & Fitness industry started in Grade 12 when I was hired as a Fitness Trainer at the local Community Centre, and 27-years later have never looked back. I formally stepped-into the management roles when I helped open Lifestyle Family (1994), and have only my advanced career with bigger opportunities through The Athletic Club (2001 - 2010) and GoodLife Fitness (2012 -Present). My PASSION is in helping people be their BEST and achieving their ultimate fitness potentials, and living the Good Life! My specialty is in functional and athletic-based training, characterized by circuit-training and barbell complexes. As a Type 1 Diabetic of 30-years I also embrace the opportunity to consult and advise people living with Diabetes on how to positively and safely integrate exercise into their 3-way balancing regime of medicine - diet - exercise.
