Emily Stenta is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School. (RYS).
My training has been grounded in gentle, hatha yoga with a focus on utilizing yoga for trauma.
Studying the works of Levin and Stearns, it is clear that the practice of breath and movement in yoga can help to unwrap the tension that is left behind from a traumatic event or series of events. Re-patterning muscle memory is possible and can be an excellent compliment to other practices and counseling.
Classes focus on allowing each participant to listen to their breath, and to move with mindfulness
