I am a certified Physical Education teacher. I have a strong instructional and educational background in several school gymnasiums, as well as special needs experiences. I am currently a certified Special Education teacher as well, which I believe will only enhance my ability in kids programming. My education and professional background has provided me with extensive fitness experience. For instance, I have worked as a physical education teacher in out of school settings. I have taught children, with and without special needs at a summer camp program in New York. I have coached lacrosse, softball and swimming at the middle school level. I also have ran several 5k races, a few half marathons, Ragnar Relay races, and completed a couple Warrior Dash races.
I am most capable of developing great rapport with the individuals I am teaching/instructing. I am reliable and dependable and take great pride in my performance as a professional. I am committed to working hard and completing tasks successfully. In addition, I am an energetic individual who recognizes the fitness goals of all age groups.
I am interested in the fitness/sports industry because being active and healthy are important to me. I like to feel healthy physically and mentally. I also enjoy training and educating others so that they have the tools to be physically and mentally healthy. I obtained a certification in Physical education so I could deliver my beliefs on what it means to be healthy. Within the fitness world, I particularly enjoy running, weight training, and yoga. I do enjoy swimming from time to time, as it's a full body workout without a lot of strain on the body. One of my personal fitness goals is to be a light weight bodybuilder someday. I have always believed that individuals, especially women, reap the many rewards of building muscle, which include improving functional strength capabilities, create the greatest change to how the body looks, and feeling healthy from head to toe.
Lastly, it is my goal to motive children, men and women to live a healthy lifestyle that leads to good physical condition and well being. It is also my goal to inspire individuals of all ages, to encourage them to practice good nutrition, so to have the energy to reach their fitness goals physically and mentally.
