Growing up as a competitive gymnast I was always intrigued by physical intensity. Three orthopedic surgeries later, my body needed a new form of movement that challenged not only body but mind. I found yoga in college when in need of an outlet from studying and stress. I began studying yoga in order to combine my passion for physical fitness with a mind-body connection. This inextricable link provides mindfulness, vulnerability and connection, serving myself and others on and off the mat for a lifetime. With every class I teach, I strive to share the gifts that yoga has brought to me with each student I interact with. I have completed Yoga Alliance certified trainings in both yoga sculpt and power yoga with over 2 years of teaching experience. Alongside yoga I have a bachelor of arts in physiology with a minor in Chicano/Latino studies.
