I have been employed as an OR nurse. I have taken care of patients ranging in age from 6 months to 100 years who are about to have surgery, who may have a range of medical problems,ie. diabetes, high blood pressure, breathing disorders, and heart problems to mention at few. This encompasses all kinds of tasks, including: air way management, EKG monitoring, IV access, and medication management, infection control and safety issues. I am currently certified in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support from the American Heart Assn. This training includes emergency medical treatment with defibrillators, AED's, oxygen therapy, and first aid. When people are on vacation, they would feel comfortable having experienced licensed professional personnel available if needed. They could count on me.
