Hi there,
I am a native of Indianapolis, Indiana. Ever since I was a young kid, I loved dancing! It has always been a true joy of my life. I started to take classes my senior year in high school and instantly knew I wanted to be a professional dancer. When I moved to Los Angeles in 1996, I auditioned and received a one year dance scholarship to Tremaine Dance Center. At that time, I was fortunate enough to train in various styles of dance and work with well educated dance teachers who are established, "A List" choreographers in the entertainment industry.
After my scholarship, I was asked to audition for the iconic musical artist, Prince, to be a part of his dance company. I booked the job and was able to train and perform with incredible dancers such as Desmond Richardson (lead dancer for American Ballet Theatre) and Brian Friedman (choreographer, artistic director of America's Got Talent and SYTYCD).
Once the national tour for Prince ended, I went back to Los Angeles and booked numerous jobs and worked as a professional dancer for over 11 years. My big break came when I was able to dance for award winning artist, Christina Aguilera. A one month job turned into a 4 and a half year gig! Within that time, I was able to go on 3 tours of the United States, Canada, Asia, and Latin America. I was also able to perform on TV on shows like, Jay Leno Show, Saturday Night Live, American Music Awards, Good Morning America, Super Bowl Halftime Show, and the Grammys to name a few.
For the past 15 years, I have been running my dance studio with my business partner in beautiful Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. I teach various dance classes such as fitness group classes for adults, Zumba, hip hop, jazz, and kids classes.
One of the great joys of my life is being able to teach and mentor new students! With that said, I feel being a part of Fitness Pro Travel is a great way to teach new students and travel to beautiful places. Both my fiance and I love to travel and I look forward to working with you in the near future!
Best regards,
George "Buddy" Mynatt
