Derek Wrzecionek

Over the last 16 years I have trained close to 1,700 people between the ages of 13 to 84. These people include sedentary, never been to a gym individuals all the way up to elite level athletes from organizations such as the OHL, Canadian University Varsity Athletic Teams, and Division 1, 2, and 3 American College and University Athletic Teams. I have worked in the physiotherapy/ exercise rehabilitation field since 1999 and have worked with people suffering from WSIB claims, MVA claims, people who have suffered major cardiac issues/surgeries going through cardiac rehabilitation and many other extended health care coverage claims.

During this time, I have been a Strength and Conditioning Coach for athletes that have consulted me to build and maintain performance programs for a wide variety of sports including football, baseball, ice hockey, long distance running, swimming, downhill skiing, wakeboarding, golf, and mixed martial arts.

I have also helped hundreds of people seeking to improve their overall health and lifestyle.  When working with these clients, the focus has often been weight loss/management, gaining lean muscle mass, increasing their cardiovascular health/performance, improving joint mobility and flexibility, and using exercise to improve their metabolic related illnesses/conditions.  These individuals are often seeking to be educated on health and fitness regardless of their experience. Many of them are actively seeking advice on learning new exercise systems.

Aside from physical training, a high percentage of clients choose to seek nutritional counseling and advice.  Many of them will access my services as a certified nutritionist.  These services include in depth nutritional programming to basic advice.

Overall, my goals with my clients are to improve their health and longevity, live a healthier lifestyle, meet specific physical or performance goals and finally to transcend age related barriers with looking better and feeling better then those people in their age cohort.
