Donna Covrett has been a student of yoga since 1974—including five years in a yoga ashram—and a teacher since 1997. In addition to teaching group classes in the public setting of yoga studios and corporate workshops, Donna works with individual clients to build personalized holistic wellness programs, specializing in athletes, people with chronic aches and pain, and those recovering from injury or illness. Through functional movement and alignment, mindful breathing, meditation, guided imagery, and other healing modalities, she provides practitioners with a variety of therapeutic tools to open energy channels, stabilize joints, strengthen muscles, and increase mobility, flexibility, and ease.
In addition to classes, Donna is a Thai Yoga therapist, a unique and ancient bodywork tradition that combines rhythmic massage, acupressure, and assisted stretches in a 60-90 minute session. Outside of the classroom Donna has long-held an equally passionate career in the culinary arts as a chef, restaurateur, teacher, journalist, and cookbook author.
