Kate was drawn to yoga when she took a 6-week intro course in Ashtanga Yoga while in college. She immediately noticed a huge shift in her mental and physical energy. She became hooked and started practicing yoga on a regular basis. Currently she works full time as a nurse in the surgical setting which has taught her a lot about human anatomy and proper alignment in poses.  In April of 2017 she completed her 200-hour YTT in the beautiful mountains of the Sacred Valley, Peru. She learned the principles of Ashtanga vinyasa yoga as well as what it means to be a successful instructor. She loves the freeing feeling after a yoga class and wants everyone she teaches to experience that letting go and releasing to align with their true self. She likes to have her students feel that they are being pushed physically but that at the end of each class they feel they have made more room in their lives for positive change.
