Jennifer Trustem

Hi! My name is Jennifer Trustem! I am from Wisconsin. I am happily married mother of 4-2 boys/2 girls! Our family enjoys the Wisconsin outdoors by fishing, hiking, biking, and camping. I have always made fitness a priority and try to encourage my children to lead an active lifestyle.

In 2002, I started teaching group cycling. Since then I have added to my repertoire of classes I teach. I enjoy teaching a wide variety of group fitness classes including group cycling, bootcamp, HIIT, kettlebell, and Piyo. I have found from taking a wide range of certifications, it allows me to apply a variety of fitness approaches to all of my group fitness classes. Being a group fitness instructor is so much more than just leading a class. It is establishing friendships and connections to those who come to your class. Also most importantly I want the class to be FUN and "worth your time".  I strive to motivate my class participants to work-out at their level, while encouraging them to push themselves to the next level. I provide a wide variety of modifications to my workouts allowing a wide range of fitness abilities to participate.  I do not want anyone to leave my classes feeling as if they could not succeed! I make a point of talking with each person after a class to see what things they may need help with when it is their first class.

I have also volunteered my time as a group fitness instructor to leading classes at our local elementary school 1x/month for our FitKidz program.

Recently I have slowly progressed from group fitness classes to also a passion for running. I have run several half-marathons and will be running my first marathon at the Chicago Marathon in October 2019. Training for a marathon has taught me so much about "mental" toughness more so than physical toughness. Our mind will stop before our bodies!
