Who is Duane Wiafe?

Duane Wiafe is a registered social worker and a group fitness instructor. He began his fitness journey training his body to preform as a youth athlete. In 2017 he tried his first SBZ class and he was addicted. STRONG by Zumba® is the best format out that could replicate the athleticism he needed while playing basketball and running track and field. Duane advocates that physical wellness is an important part of managing mental and emotional challenges. Strong by Zumba helps him to stay fit and to parent 4 active children.

 

Duane teaches several group fitness formats but STRONG by Zumba® is where his passion lies.  STRONG by Zumba® is NOT a dance class. It combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves synced to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move. Every squat, every lunge, every burpee is driven by the music, helping you make it to that last rep, and maybe even five more. There are modifications for all fitness levels.

What is Strong By Zumba®?

STRONG by Zumba® combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves synced to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move. In each class you'll burn calories while toning arms, legs, abs and glutes. Plyometric or explosive moves like high knees, burpees, and jumping jacks are interchanged with isometric moves like lunges, squats and kickboxing. STRONG by Zumba® also has options to suit your specific goals. The original STRONG by Zumba® class is a demanding hour-long session that works your entire body.
