Emily is a graduate of the first class of the 200 hour teacher training program at Mind the Mat, and registered 500 hour yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. She has taught over 300 classes, and finished her 500 hour yoga teacher training at the Himalayan Institute in April. Emily is also a Balanced Body Mat I and Mat II Pilates Instructor, and a Certified Personal Trainer with NASM. Emily fell in love with yoga through her instructors at her work gym, where she began taking yoga as a reprieve from running, and became impassioned about Pilates while studying yoga with Mind the Mat. Emily practices Mysore Yoga Regularly with her teacher, and teaches weekly Yoga, Pilates, and Barre classes.
Emily's classes integrate fun and form with traditional poses and movement. She strives to make exercise enjoyable and worth smiling (or even laughing) about...not only a challenge to keep the body in shape. Emily hopes that in joining her on your mat you can find balance between seriously challenging your body and having a little fun!
