Chelsea Newcomb

A little bit about me….After having my daughters in 2012 and 2014, I wasn’t myself.  I was tired, miserable, and out of shape.  I was never over-weight, but I was unhappy and I was “lost”.   I was caring for everyone else but myself.  In January, 2017 I made a resolution to work out and eat right just like most other people do on January 1st.  I lost the initial pounds and fit properly in my clothes, but I liked my new lifestyle so I kept going.  I lost a few more pounds but then, although the scale wasn’t lowering, the big accomplishments started.  Clothes were continuously getting too big, muscles were starting to show, the “mushy mommy belly” was getting toned, and the energy levels were high!  I had more patience with my kids and I was a happier mom and wife because I took time for myself every morning to get in shape and get myself motivated for the day.

After I started my fitness journey, my husband saw my successes and started down the same path.  We soon turned a spare room into a home gym.  I was getting calls and messages from friends and family asking how I did it, how should they get started, what is a typical day of exercise and eating for me, etc.  I was happy not only because people were noticing my successes, but they were coming to me for advice and tips to start their fitness journey.  It felt amazing to help others start down the path that I started to not just look good, but feel great!

At the beginning of 2019 I decided that I would not only continue my “resolution” but I would work harder at it.  I started my NASM CPT course and passed my exam on May 10, 2019.  I plan to obtain my group certification next and go on to get my nutrition certification with them as well.
