Michael Manning

Lifetime fitness enthusiast and student of the structure, movement, and breathing of the human body.

Certified as a cardio/aerobics instructor in 1990 and taught aerobics, step, and spin classes for several years.

In 1997 began training in Shotokan Karate and received a 1st degree black belt in 1999 and a 2nd degree black belt in 2005.  Taught martial arts classes and cardio kick-boxing classes from 1999 to 2015.

Also began yoga training in 1997 at the Downward Dog yoga centre in Toronto receiving guidance from 2 internationally known yogis, Ron Reid and Marla Joy in the practice of Ashtanga Yoga.  Attended numerous seminars led by Danny Paradise, one of the world's best known yogis, in addition to several other seminars encompassing many other yoga styles including Bikram Yoga, Kundalini Yoga and Pilates.  Began dedicated Pranayama study in 1998 in various breathing practices including Nauli Kriya, Uddiyana Kriya, Nadi Shodana, etc.  and am regarded as a Nauli master in the yoga community.  Certified as a Yoga and Pilates Teacher in January 2017.

2017 - March 2020, Olive Tree Yoga, Woodbridge, Ontario.  3 classes weekly.  Yoga and Pilates

2019 - March 2024, Yogaloft Vaughan/Nobleton, Woodbridge/Nobleton, Ontario.  3 classes weekly.  Hot Vinyasa Yoga.

2020 - May 2022, Bodies 2 Envy, Toronto, Ontario.  1 class weekly.  Introduction to Yoga.

April 2024, Yoga on Seven, Woodbridge, Ontario. 2 classes weekly.  Hot Vinyasa Yoga.  Hot Core Yoga

My teaching style focuses on functional mobility and breath, building into dynamic flow sequences.
