Susie Nelson

I am the owner of The Cycling Yogi in Lakewood Colorado.  We offer yoga, indoor cycling, barre and yoga sculpt classes.  I have been teaching there for the past five years and then recently bought it in September 2018 from the original owner.  It is such a vibrant, growing studio that welcomes all levels of yoga and fitness. Before buying the studio; I worked at Meadow Creek Tennis and Fitness for 18 years as their marketing manager and fitness coordinator. I still run and teach the SilverSneakers program at Meadow Creek. I absolutely love working with the senior population and can’t give that up! 

I have a background in Physical Therapy. I no longer practice PT, however I have a Bachelors degree from San Diego State University. 

I have two grown children, Megan (24- paramedic) and Dylan (21- plays DII baseball for Metro State University in Denver). I’ve been married to my husband, Greg, for 26 years.

I received my yoga sculpt certification in 2015 from CorePower and my 200hr yoga teacher training certification from Kindness Yoga in May 2018. I am planning on getting my 500hr certification next year. I am a personal trainer and certified in SilverSneakers/Senior fitness and yoga.
