Carey Sadler

Carey A. Sadler is the owner and an instructor at Rivercity Pilates. Carey became a certified Pilates instructor through Body Precision Pilates(Rosemont, PA) in 2002 and is also certified through the Pilates Method Alliance.

Carey is an Iowa native, growing up in Evansdale, Iowa and graduating from the University of Iowa in 1997 with a BS in Chemical Engineering.

After working in the chemical engineering field for a few years, Carey moved to the Philadelphia area in 1999. There she started working as a personal trainer and managed a small women’s gym. Soon after she discovered her passion in Pilates.

Longing to be back in the midwest and closer to family, in 2008 Carey and her husband Jeff moved their family back home to Iowa. Carey opened Rivercity Pilates in January of 2009, so that she could continue her love of teaching Pilates. In 2011 the studio expanded moving into its 2nd location in North Liberty.  In April of 2014 the business expanded again and moved to its current location at 1210 Jordan Street, Suite 1. 

Carey loves working with clients of all levels and abilities.  She is passionate about teaching the Pilates Method of exercise and truly believes that any body at any level can benefit from learning the method in their body.

She especially enjoys working with clients who are overcoming an injury or physical ailment.   She is a Pink Ribbon Certified Exercise Specialist and has had the honor of helping many breast cancer survivors restore their health.
