Hello, I started my fitness journey in school as a cheerleader.  Our school went to Nationals every year and placed.  I have been very active and continue to stay that way.  I decided that since I was in the gym, hey why not get paid?  So it started with getting certified in Zumba Basic and I was hooked.  I then progressed with certifications in Zumba Sentao, Zumba Toning (current ZIN), Barre Above, Group Fitness Instructor Certification with YMCA/ACE (Kettlebell, Core Muscle Toning, Circuit Training, Interval Training), Silver Sneakers (Splash, Yoga, CardioFit, Classic) and up to my most recently acquired certification, POUND.  I found that it is essential to be "well rounded" in multiple fitness specialties.  I actively teach multiple formats which assists with learning fresh choreography and assists with recovery.  My classes are by no means low key.  We really sweat, burn calories and keep our hip hop vibe.  My students range from teenagers to older adults depending upon my class format.  I am certified in Silver Sneakers, however I have not been teaching this format due to being too high impact focused.  I have discovered that that same students tend to follow me from one gym to the other just to experience the different types of classes.  I totally LOVE what I do plus it keeps me in shape and I enjoy seeing the positive changes in the class participants.  Fitness is a wonderful passion to have.
