Lisa Castro (RYT 200) believes that yoga is not just a physical activity, but a way of life. What first began as a form of exercise evolved into a deeper practice of yoga philosophy and meditation both on and off the mat.
 
Trained in the Fluid Yoga ® vinyasa style under founder Kevan Gale, Lisa brings her own fun personality and friendly spirit to her practice as a teacher. Her classes offer a dynamic blend of light-hearted challenge, combining strength building asanas and mindful, contemplative practice. She believes what we learn in yoga class like patience, endurance, and acceptance can be applied to all areas of life. In addition to teaching challenging vinyasa yoga classes, Lisa teaches Goddess Yoga. In this class students take inspiration from ancient goddesses and learn how to cultivate aspects of the goddess like courage, beauty, and independence. Postures enable students to reconnect with their body and meditations calm their mind.
 
Lisa is a writer and speaker who advocates for women's health, happiness, and spirit. She is a lifelong learner and currently pursuing an Ayurveda Wellness Coach certificate . Her greatest teachers are her two children who ensure that she is constantly practicing what she teaches, keeping a "beginner's mind" and pursuing fun experiences as a first priority.
