Jennifer Pierce

Hi! My name is Jenn and I have always loved fitness. I danced as a kid and in college I cheered competitively. I also taught fitness classes for credits. As life changed, I settled down, built a career and a family, fitness took different forms but always remained a part of my daily routine.  After my 4th baby, I felt an urge to teach again and share my fitness journey (as my body had gone through many changes at this point). I joined Lucille Roberts and loved every minute. As a member, I took every class 6 days a week (while my kids were in babysitting). I was in the best shape but the manager of the gym (who I loved dearly and recently passed) thought I could do more. She offered for me to start my certification process with Insanity Live (I always enjoyed Beachbody/HIIT from the beginning so it was a good fit). Being an instructor at LR was one of my greatest joys. I taught 10 classes a week (kickboxing, Zumba, barre/yoga and toning, small group boot camps, and obtained many certifications such as group fitness (which I have maintained through AFAA), personal training (servicing about 8 clients a week), yoga, and Zumba.  I worked right up until the pandemic when all the gyms closed down.  During the pandemic, I did everything I could to maintain a following through zoom and then eventually in my own backyard pool.  This is where I truly found a love for aqua.  I taught in Jamaica (an amazing teaching vacation spot!) and was able to bring my love of the warm weather, natural resistance of the water, and a love of fitness to my neighborhood.  I rediscovered my love of working out from home and I have found success with clients in this form for now, however, I plan to be in this industry a long time and may return to the true gym setting again soon.  I love to travel and have a passion for connecting with new people so I am over the moon to teach again this year in Curacao.  I am really looking forward to bringing my best dance moves and splashing around in the beautiful waters.  I also plan to bring my Zen and breathe in all the fresh air!
