Albee Mendoza

Born in Manila, Philippines, Albee came to the United States when she was 7 years old.  She enjoyed singing along to interesting music, learning about new cultures, and understanding different people.  Albee earned her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (in Maryland) and her Ph.D. in Pediatric School Psychology from East Carolina University (in North Carolina).  She worked with families, children, and adults with physical, cognitive, and emotional disabilities.  Now a professor of psychology at Wesley College, Albee teaches college students psychological concepts, organizational skills, career exploration, study strategies, and disability awareness.  To balance her work life, Albee spends family time with her husband, Melvin, and their 3-year-old, Melaina.  They are also close to her immediate family and enjoy going to parks, cooking meals, walking on the beach, seeing animals, and cooking meals.
