Background:

I trained to professional level as a Contemporary Dancer at the London Contemporary Dance School, and graduated with BA Hons Degree (2:1).

I successfully auditioned to become a member of the post-graduate performance company 4D, the year that Richard Alston was Artistic Director.

I have worked extensively within both education and the community since 1997. Working as a free-lance artist I have taught all ages and abilities from 5-85 yrs.I worked at a tertiary college for 19yrs as Head of Dance, coordinating and teaching AS/A2 Dance, and the vocational dance courses, such as the BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts-Dance.

 

Current:

I teach a minimum of 7 hours of Pilates every week and have done for 5yrs.I teach at all levels and specialise in Pilates for Parkinson’s, and Pregnancy.

 

I also work for the North Devon Healthcare Trust (NHS) as a Specialist Exercise Practitioner as part of the highly regarded Neurological Physiotherapy Team based at NDDH. I work with people who have long term neurological conditions (varying in ages and severity)

My role involves working in clinic at NDDH and in the community supporting patients and delivers various exercise classes and 1:1 treatments prescribing exercise.

 

I have also recently qualified as a Sports Massage Therapist.
