200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training (RYT)-Certification and Canfit Pro Certified Group Fitness Instructor (FIS)

I am a 200-hour certified yoga teacher and retired registered nurse. I joined the nursing profession to help and care for others with the goal of making a difference in the lives of my patients and their families and when I embarked on my yoga journey I quickly saw the many benefits of practicing yoga and wanted to share them with others.  

I started my yoga journey over 14 years ago when it was recommended that I try yoga for back pain relief.  I was thrilled to recognize how wonderful I felt both physically and spiritually after practicing yoga.   Yoga has inspired me to live each moment more mindfully and I would like my students to experience the benefits of yoga, nurturing their body, mind and souls.  One of my favorite quotes is “Just breath and take time to do what makes your soul happy.” 

I have always been a fitness enthusiast and continue to focus on my own health and wellness   I received my Canfitpro Group Fitness Fitness Instructor Certification in 2021. I like to incorporate cardio and use of props in my classes, such as weights, Bosu, bands, medicine balls.  I teach to all levels of fitness from beginners to to advanced level offering modifications for those that require it and opportunities to take it up a level for those that want to challenge themselves.
