I was born and raised in San Jose, Costa Rica. My family is from Cahuita in Limón. I lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina for five years. There, I worked as an assistant teacher to a kindergarten class at Lincoln, the American International School.
I am the proud mother of two girls, one 19 and the other 8.
In June of 2000, I moved to Alexandria, Virginia to pursue a degree in elementary education. For the past 15 years I have been employed by Fairfax County Public Schools. I currently teach second grade at Hayfield Elementary.
In 2014 I received a masters in gifted education from Regent University.
In 2015 I completed the Zumba Basics l training. While I organize my time to teach Zumba full time, I am a substitute instructor at Mount Vernon Athletics Club.
I am also registered to obtain a Pilates Mat certification.
