Hello,
My name is Stephanie Forshaw. Throughout my entire life I have been passionate about fitness and health. I ran track and field in high school and began weight training when I was 16 in order to improve my speed and agility on the track. After high school I attended New York University and studied Marketing and Management. During college I ran my very first marathon, the New York City Marathon, and continued to explore the world of fitness. It wasn't until a few years after college, in 2005, that I got my certification to teach. While in New York City I taught at New York Health and Raquet Club, Equinox, and Club H. At that time I began to do Triathlons, and biking, became my new found passion. I loved teaching spin as I could simulate an outdoor ride in a controlled environment and motivate people to achieve new goals and succeed beyond where they thought they could. More recently, in 2016, I got my Personal Training certification. I have done small group trainings of 6-8 people in a Metabolic Conditioning style class and also have private clients that I work one on one with multiple times per week.
For fun I love to be active and outdoors. I love to hike, bike, and swim. I also love traveling and have had the opportunity to explore a lot of interesting places around the globe, such as climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro and hiking the Inca Trail in Machu Pichu. I also have a great appreciation for the arts and like to dabble in artistic pursuits when time allows.
