Victoria Stripling

I'm a Brit living in Florida with my gorgeous little family. I'm the Finance Director of an Insurance Agency by day and teach some Group X classes by night. After completing my degree in Leeds, England, I got a Visa to spend a year working and traveling around Canada. I got to spend a whole winter in Whistler, BC where I became a better skier and also learned how to snowboard. Now we try to ski every year, and our little one is definitely a natural.

I fell in love with Zumba after a friend dragged me to a class. I've always loved dancing (did ballet, modern and tap when I was young), so it wasn't long before I went from the new kid at the back to being someone joining the instructor on stage. When I heard about the Zumba Convention I didn't want to miss it, so I took a training to become a "ZIN" so I could attend, but had no intention of teaching. My passion for the "exercise in disguise" just grew and eventually I started teaching. Now I teach 3 classes a week and sub for my friends when I can.

My other passions include reading and travel. Growing up in the UK I never really appreciated all our trips abroad around Europe; it's just what everyone did. Now that I live and work in the US, where travel is less common, I strongly encourage friends and colleagues to go outside their comfort zone and see something new - there's so much still to see out there!
