Hi! My name is Nhelly Reeves. I have been a Zumba instructor since November 2012. At first, I started teaching Zumba and, through the years, obtained my certifications to teach Zumba toning, Aqua Zumba, Zumba Gold, and Strong Nation. Additionally, I am an AFAA licensed Group Fitness Instructor.
I love Fitness and motivating others to get fit for life! Fitness is important to me because I want to be there for my family, especially to watch my son mature into a wonderful young man with his own family. Through fitness, I feel younger, healthier, stronger, energetic, and the quality of my life has improved immensely! I'm confident fitness will do the same for you!
Trust me, I have not always felt this way about fitness. All my life, I have always struggled to maintain my weight, and after the birth of my son, I was at my heaviest weight of 160 lbs. I was in a state of depression and decided to do something about it. After 3 months of grueling workouts and counting calories, I finally lost 40 lbs! As of today, I’m still working out and tracking my meals! Losing weight was one of the hardest things I have accomplished in my life. It takes hard work and dedication to reach our ideal goal. Losing weight will not happen overnight. It took months or maybe years to gain the weight. It's going to take some time to lose weight too.

I love running races, but my craze is the mud runs with many obstacles! I always love a challenge, and getting dirty is also fun! I'm a big sushi fan and a movie buff! I love pretty much any movie, from horror and comedy to thriller/action. I'm a huge animal lover, coupon diva, busy mom and wife, DIY enthusiast, dessert lover, and avid learner of all topics! However, my favorite passion is spending time with my family and friends!
Dislikes:
I can't stand doing yard work or cleaning the bathroom (unfortunately, it has to be done)! I dislike bugs of any kind. Also, sitting traffic is the worst, especially from Norfolk to the peninsula during rush hours!
