When she is not traveling and teaching fitness classes at resorts around the world, Colleen Parker splits her time between the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York and the beaches of South Florida.
Colleen has been a ZIN™ Member since Aug 2017 and she is licensed to teach Zumba 1 and 2, Zumba Toning, Aqua Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumba Kids and Zumba Step. Colleen has also taken Zumba Pro Skills training to further her abilities and offer her students the best class possible. Additionally, Colleen is a certified Yoga instructor and has trained under master yogis to expand her skills and keep her content current and fresh. Colleen believes that Zumba and Yoga complement each other perfectly and create a beautiful balance of high energy cardio with mindful stretching and toning. Colleen is also certified to teach Indoor Cycling (Spin), Pilates, and various forms of Group Fitness. Colleen believes that variety is the key to sticking with a consistent fitness routine and staying strong through "muscle confusion."
Colleen absolutely loves dancing, practicing yoga and sharing her enthusiasm for exercise and healthy living. Colleen's other passion is travel, so any opportunity to combine fitness and travel is a dream come true for her. Colleen has had the opportunity to hone her fitness instructor skills in a variety of ways including multiple Zumba conventions, master classes with the creator of Zumba, Beto Perez, and other top Zumba pros, and a variety of yoga master classes in different styles. Colleen has travelled to several resorts throughout the Caribbean and Central America teaching yoga and Zumba to people from all around the globe.
Colleen's additional fitness accomplishments, include having completed four full marathons, dozens of half marathons, and many long-distance races. She also spends time hiking, kayaking, biking, and swimming. The sea calls to her soul and she is always seeking any opportunity to teach fitness classes near the ocean.
