Gloria Valdes

Exercising has always been the one constant thing in my life. I played tennis in High School and then took up running when I was in college. When I was 32 years old, I became a mom and again at 33 and 35. Working full time and getting a workout was nearly impossible with 3 kids but once they started school, I needed to get back into fitness. I started to run again and attended fitness classes. I was determine to get myself back into feeling fit and happy with my body, that at the age of 40 I completed my first half marathon, and have run one every year thereafter to date. When I took my first Zumba class in 2008, I was hooked. With my passion for Latin music and fitness, I said to myself I am ready to share Zumba with all and became Zumba certified in 2009. Within those first 2 years of teaching Zumba, I decided I needed to learn even more. Thus I found myself getting certified and teaching Kettlebell, R.I.P.P.E.D., and Aquatic. Becoming a Group Fitness instructor has been a privilege and knowing I am capable of helping others attain their goals as I did, has been very rewarding. There are no judgments or expectations that will be present in my classes, only a willingness to participate for the love of our bodies and others. I look forward to seeing you in one of my classes.
