Esse supports health and fitness lifestyle through multiple approaches including Group Fitness Classes; Personal Training & Fitness Coaching; education on how to use natural medicine including herbs & essential oils; and perhaps her personal favorite, the catch-all of living a robust, healthy lifestyle: food as nutrition, food as medicine...and food as entertainment!
She is an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer; Certified Essential Oil Coach with the American Association of Drugless Practitioners; a Certified Aromatouch Practitioner (therapeutic full-body essential oil application); a health journalist published in various e-zines including www.BeWellBuzz.com; a pastor in her local church; and teaches multiple group fitness formats including but not limited to Zumba, STRONG by Zumba and Les Mills' BodyCombat. Esse has also placed four times in two Bikini/Bodybuilding competitions and occasionally enjoys fitness modeling. She has been a leader and professional in the wellness industry for over 20 years and plans to NEVER retire!

Ever since I was a little girl, health and sports/fitness were a fair cross between fun hobby and a self-proclaimed mission where I had to defy all conventional wisdom, nag my poor parents about artificial colors in their cereal, and generally know everything I could possibly know about food, yoga, and transcendental meditation.
Really, though, it has grown into a passion I never, ever thought I would turn into a full time career because I never wanted it to be "about money." Nevertheless, a career has been born and I am never looking back. I once could say I suffered with a true cocktail of health challenges including migraines, suicidal thoughts, severe bipolar disorder and depression, chronic candidiasis, excruciating menstrual cycles accompanied often with fever and flu symptoms, acne (of course, on account of the hormonal haywire), chronic bronchitis, eating disorder and yo-yo dieting.
With zero help from pharmaceutical drugs, I am completely, 100% healed.
Food, yoga, exercise, laughter, prayer, nutritional supplements, herbs, essential oils played major roles in my overall healing. Because of what I've been through and all that I have overcome, it's become my life's mission to lead people to #1) BELIEVE they can achieve their best life in a body, and #2) take small steps to add good things into their lives that, eventually, create a tipping point to produce the perfect storm where health and wellness take over, and sickness or dis-ease become the exception.
