I was a competitive swimmer for 17 years and competed at the University level while earning my Undergraduate degree and Masters degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation. In 1999 I was named NCAA Woman of the Year for the State of Mississippi recognizing excellence in sports, academics and leadership. In 2000, I began an intensive 4 year chiropractic program at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic School in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I graduated in June of 2004 as a Doctor of Chiropractic. Health and Wellness have always been a top priority for me and I found one of my true passions 6 years ago. After a very long and rewarding competitive swimming career I was looking for a change and a new way to stay in shape. That's when I found Group Exercise and I realized that I could inspire others to love exercise as much as I do. I love to share my energy and enthusiasm with others in each and every class that I teach. I have two goals that I strive to achieve in each class I teach...I want my participants to feel like they've worked hard AND had fun doing it! In August of 2004 I was named 1 of 5 finalists for Group Exercise Instructor of the Year for GoodLife Fitness Clubs (who employ over 1500 group exercise instructors.) This was truly an honor for me! I also love to travel and visit new places and I can't think of a better way to combine my professional skills with my personal pleasures!
