I have been practicing yoga at many different studios in the St. Louis area. Yes I began yoga mostly for the posture practice to build strength and flexibility, but the more I attended classes the more I realized how many layers there are within this practice called Yoga. Breathing techniques (pranayama) that calm the mind and ease our stress. Meditation to help us become more grounded, find inner peace or relieve anxiety. All this from a little over an hour on a mat. When life gets crazy I find going to my mat is a way to help ease whatever I may be working through. I love the positive energy one feels thru this practice and have wanted to learn more. So in May 2019 I completed my 200YTT at South River Yoga. My teachers and fellow students were a huge influence on my desire to want to teach others to be aware of what their bodies and minds area capable of accomplishing.
With all the craziness of the world we live in I hope by taking some small time out of your day to spend it on your mat can help effect your day and our world in a positive way
