I started working out seriously at a fairly later stage (31 yrs) and now at 37 I am in the best shape of my life.
I've been involved in a number of sports throughout the years they are as follows...
Competitive Fast-pitch Softball - on and off 8yrs
Softball Slow-pitch - on and off 7 yrs
Indoor Volleyball - Ont Volleyball Assoc. (OVA) Women's Adult leagues/tourneys - Provincial and National level - 5 yrs
Beach Volleyball - Women's 2's - Provincial level - 5 yrs
Dragonboat Racing - 3 yrs
Rowing - 2 yrs
Muay Thai (Thai boxing) - 1 yr
Other Skills include: Speed bag, standing & squatting on a stablity ball.
I was often quite heavyset growing up with a maximum weight of about 200lbs in my adulthood. As a past smoker of 15 yrs with a very poor diet, I'm proof that if you put you mind to anything you want! It's achieveable if you put your mind into it and perserverance. It's never too late to try.
I believe you need to balance out your life and live it to it's fullest.. and of course never give up, patience is a virtue!
