Hannah Osterheim

To give a little background, I grew up in Minnesota, studied abroad in Europe for 4 months traveling to 9 different countries and learning all different cultures, lived in California for three years and have since moved back home to be with my family.

I began my yoga journey four years ago, first practicing at a studio in Walnut Creek, CA. Yoga gave me a chance to center myself amongst the hustle and bustle, giving me peace I didn’t realize I could have. Upon moving back to Minnesota and amidst the feeling of change and transition, I was searching for that centering feeling and found it in the community at CorePower. Inspired, I worked with CorePower Yoga to gain my Yoga Sculpt Teacher Training Certificate as well as my Sculpt Extensions Certificate. During both of these programs, I was challenged and encouraged to better my practice, and I learned from inspirational leaders on how to bring my teaching dream to life. I was able to teach and adjust student through community classes, further stretching my ability and comfort. Being surrounded by students at varying levels of their practice but with a common goal to share the gift of yoga has allowed me to learn through others and see that yoga can mean something different to every person who shows up on the mat.

I have a strong passion towards living a fulfilling and healthy lifestyle both on and off the mat. Outside of yoga, I spend the majority of my free time cooking, experimenting and sharing recipes with the people I love. I spent three years living in San Francisco and Orange County with my previous full-time employer and find fascination in understanding what a healthy lifestyle represents in different regions. This combination of experiences and passion have created a desire inside of me to dance outside of my comfort zone and to take my healthy living one step further, sharing my zeal with others and learning something new every step of the way.

What made me fall in love with teaching yoga was the teachers who continuously brought a unique, yet relatable experience to class, and I am excited to bring that same spark to every community I teach. Bringing my own experiences to my mat has made me an enthusiastic and welcoming teacher. I am dedicated to make every single person that comes to their mat to feel empowered, strong and part of a family that I so instantly felt.
