Michelle Wilcox

My passion for fitness began in high school when I took my very first Weights and Conditioning class. After only a few weeks of class, the Powerlifting Coach walked by and asked me to join the team. I was the only girl on the team, and I quickly became addicted to exercise and the feeling of empowerment. When I graduated from high school, I decided to obtain a degree in Exercise and Sports Science, emphasizing on Health and Fitness Management from Texas State University. I started teaching Kickboxing and Indoor Cycling while working on my undergraduate degree, and upon graduating, taught Kickboxing "Polish-Up" classes to their group exercise instructors as needed and Kickboxing Basics classes to new instructors in training. I worked as a Group Exercise Instructor for World Gym and for Premiere Lady Fitness and Spa, teaching Kickboxing and Indoor Cycling. Now I am one of three full time Fitness Professionals at Lake Austin Spa Resort in Austin, Texas. On any given day, I teach between 3-6 classes which includes BodyPump, Indoor Cycling, BOSU, Stability Ball, Water Aerobics, Bootcamp Circuit, Stretch, Kickboxing, and various Strength and Cardio classes. I am available in between classes for private trainings and consultations including Resting Metabolic Rate testing, Posture Analysis, Reebok 5-Point Mobility and Stability Assessments, At Home Workouts, Travel Workouts, Traditional Fitness Training, and Fitness Assessments.
