Amy Sharp

Amy Sharp was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana and relocated to Sarasota, Florida in 2011.  Amy has been heavily involved in the arts since she was young.  She began playing the piano at age 8 and today is a certified piano instructor.  She began dancing competitively at age 11, taking lessons in tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop and contemporary.  In high school, she was a member of the Varsity Dance team and Elite Show Choir.  She was also an active member in the theater department, and performed in several high school productions including Cabaret and Les Miserables.  Amy went to college at Indiana University-Purdue University (IPFW) and received her bachelor's in Human Resource Management with a minor in Dance.  Throughout college, Amy also performed on the Blue Angels Dance Team.  In 2019, Amy graduated with her Master's degree in Human Resource Management from Florida International University (FIU).  Today Amy works as an HR Manager during the day and dances at Fred Astaire Dance Studio most nights.  She competes at the national level in PRO/AM ballroom dance, specializing in the Latin styles.  Amy has been a  ZIN™ Member since Sep 2019 and teaching Zumba since September 2019.  During her free time, Amy enjoys dancing, singing, acting, yoga, modeling, traveling and spending time with her beautiful 9 year old daughter, Brooke.
