I played competitive junior tennis (USTA and high school), as well as 1 year of division 1 college tennis at the University of Vermont. From the age of 16 until 22 I was a tennis instructor at my local country club (Bellport Country Club) in Bellport NY. I graduated from Tulane University in 1994 and subsequently attended medical school at St. Georges University School of Medicine. While I was in my 30's and early 40's I took some time away from tennis to pursue other athletic endeavors such as Ironman triathlon. I rediscovered my passion for tennis about 5 years ago and started playing competitive 5.0 level tennis and participating in USTA age group and open tournaments. Highlights include CO state runner up 45 and over and semifinalist of a 45 and over category II nationals event.
I'm currently a full time Physician but enjoy teaching tennis on a part time basis out of CAC Flatirons in Boulder. During summer months I'm on the court roughly 5-10 hours per week. I enjoy working with all levels. I'm currently working with a high level, nationally ranked girl, Kaja Jacobson (age 14) in addition to the club players at CAC.
I've always had a passion for traveling. I look forward to combining my interest of traveling with my passion for sharing my love of tennis.
