Andy Steingold

Andy Steingold grew up in Virginia and began playing tennis as a pre-teen. He competed on the junior circuit throughout Virginia and the Middle Atlantic before attending the University of South Carolina in Columbia. While living in Columbia, Andy built a very successful tennis program for the City of Columbia Parks and Recreation Department. He moved to Wildewood Country Club before arriving as the Head Tennis Professional at Seabrook Island Resort. He was Assistant Coach  at the College of Charleston where the women's team achieved the number 2 ranking at the National Championships in California. While spending a good part of his career in Business Management, he continued his teaching and competitive play. In 2002 he was ranked number 1 singles in the Northern Region in his age group and was part of a National Championship winning team. He is a Certified Member of the United States Professional Tennis Association, ranked #1 in the state of South Carolina, #1 in the Southerm region, and 15th nationally. He is currently the Director of Tennis at Pine Forest Country Club in Summerville.

Andy's teaching philosophy is that everyone should enjoy the game. His teaching successes range from Beginner to Advanced, Junior to Senior, and all persons in-between. He is a very demanding professional and requires that all students (individual or teams) have fun on the court! Andy has three grown children, and lives in Summerville, South Carolina.
