As a varsity athlete in high school and college, I never imagined I'd end up a thirty-something with thirty-something pounds of flab!
I joined our local gym in January of 2000. I went to 5:30am exercise classes but only attended regularly when I was preparing for a resort vacation. In the spring of 2003, when the gym had trouble keeping an instructor at that early hour, I volunteered to take over.
With 35 fewer pounds and almost four years of near perfect attendance (everyone gets sick or takes a vacation!), I've drastically changed my body and my mind.
I hold AFAA certifications in Primary Group Fitness, Step and Kickboxing. I've instructed body sculpting and spinning classes at the gym and enjoy creating "cardio fusion" classes.
In addition to a busy schedule teaching middle school and directing high school drama club productions, I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling anywhere I can find turquoise water and a beach bar!
